Tenx Brand-new Release TM52F2260—Low Power Consumption 8051 Series
    TM52F2260 integrates low power consumption clock and LCD display function, very 
suitable for battery-powered application product, for example LCD display remote 
control, hygrometer, watch, timer, calculator, password-locked safe, etc…, suitable for 
applications in various fields of products, the specification meets engineering rules -40℃
~85℃ operating temperature and high noise immunity EFT/ESD characteristics demand.

    TM52F2260 uses tenx L51 CPU Core, compared to the traditional 8051 IC, the overall 
power consumption is lower; operating speed is faster and more efficient. TM52F2260 
keeps most of the characteristics in standard 8051, program memory provides 16 
KBytes flash memory space, and also provides ICP/ISP/IAP storage function; 
developers can store data directly into Flash memory space, while internal SRAM 
provides 256 Bytes storage space. Additionally, external access memory is 1280 Bytes, 
overall internal storage is more than 1.5 KBytes, UART interface is compatible with 
standard 8051, and Timer0/1/2 is standard 8051 timer. Besides, in Timer3 user can use 
32.768 KHz clock source. Timer3 provides 23-bit timer which allows long period of 
counting, can calibrate accurately +/- 0.5 ppm ~ 61 ppm calibration ranges, provides 
developer very accurate clock source.

    TM52F2260 provides power saving LCD display structure, the driving capability uses 
4COM, 28~36SEG selectable LCD pixel output, 1/3 or 1/4 duty and 1/3 bias voltage. In 
power supply control, TM52F2260 provides internal bandgap for voltage calibration, at 
the same time provides Tiny current LDO regulator output for IC use. And also allows 
developer chooses voltage output 1.1V~1.8V to CPU in different operating mode, under 
32 KHz condition, can select 1.1V as the minimum operating voltage, to achieve power 
save characteristic. When battery voltage is 3V, VDD is set to 1.5V, LCD is enabled, and 
when operating clock source is 32.768 KHz in Idle mode, the minimum power 
consumption can be 1 uA. With the same condition, if LCD is disabled, the minimum 
power consumption can be 0.7 uA.

    For TM52F2260, tenx plans of using convenient USB development tool (EV2260 
board), which can directly use the same IC (Real chip) to do ICE in-line trimming. Using 
USB EV2260 Board immediately simulate IC condition, can access memory space and 
set register directly, provide routine breakpoint and step, can execute tracking analysis 
data, increase program development efficiency and debug capability, very suitable for 
fast product development.
